CAN-Bus Ethernet Gateway
Die Vernetzung von Sensoren und Aktoren in der Feldbusebene ist in der Ausdehnung bisher durch die Spezifikation des Protokollstandards limitiert. Computernetzwerke hingegen nutzen TCP/IP als Übertragungsstandard. Das CAN-Bus Ethernet Gateway CAN2Web ermöglicht es, CAN und Ethernet Netze miteinander zu verbinden. CAN2Web verpackt die CAN-Messages in einen TCP/IP-Rahmen und überträgt diese Daten über das LAN, das Intra- oder das Internet. CAN2Web dient als vollkommen transparentes CAN-Ethernet-Gateway, unabhängig davon welcher Protokollstandard auf CAN-Ebene eingesetzt wird, sei es CANOpen, DeviceNet oder ein proprietäres Protokoll. CAN2Web ist somit zu allen bestehenden CAN-Netzen kompatibel.
